      1. Melissa, hello and welcome to Melvilliana! My first thought (tyvm for asking) is this: I am wondering, hoping, praying you might help me obtain a paper or digital copy of the 1863 sermon preached by Oliver Sherman Prescott at the funeral of Clement Clarke Moore. Keller Library at GTS where I understand you used to work as Reference Librarian and Archivist has or had it, according to worldcat. Full title, The power of the resurrection : a sermon preached in Trinity Church, Newport, R.I. on the seventh Sunday after Trinity, 1863, being the Sunday following the funeral of Clement Clark Moore, L.L.D.

Possibly you or a colleague could locate this item and provide me with a scan--for non-commercial research purposes, of course. I value your expertise as a professional librarian and will be grateful for any guidance you can give me. My goal is to transcribe the full text of this important, now hard-to-get funeral sermon and post it as a Christmas gift to the world. Please feel free to contact me anytime by email via ssnors@gmail.com

Thank you and best holiday wishes from

        Yours sincerely,
        Scott
