HERMAN MELVILLE.—This unrivaled fancy-glass spinner of sea stories has just ready for the press a new work entitled "Redburn—his First Voyage: being the Sailor-Boy Confessions and Reminiscences of the Son of a Gentleman." It will appear simultaneously from the press of the Harpers and Bentley in London. We have no manner of doubt that this work of our talented townsman will revive the old fascination of 'Typee,' and we shall wait for its appearance impatiently.
